Golden State Warriors Charity Match

On Saturday, November 5th NBA fans in the bay area got to enjoy a night of ball as the current and past Golden State Warriors hosted a charity game at the San Jose State Event Center with benefits going to the Matt Barnes’ Athletes vs Cancer Foundation. PEAK representation was in full force with Dorell Wright on the current Warriors, team while both Jason Richardson and Anthony Morrow (one of PEAK’s newest athletes) were playing with the Warriors of the past. The current Warriors took the win by 5 with a final score of 158-153.

Dorell Wright of team “Dub,” was one of the stars of the game leading the scorers with 41 points contributing to their victory. While on “We Believe”, Jason Richardson entertained the crowd with several of his famous slam dunks and Morrow contributing 29 points.

JRich might have given bay area fan the best news of the evening, when the free agent announced he would be interested in returning to Oakland, given the opportunity. It will be seen if the Warriors were listening.

JaVale McGee holds Guinness World Record of Basketball Dunks

May 12, 2010—PEAK athlete Washington Wizards Center JaVale McGee now holds a world record on the double dunk and triple dunk he accomplished during 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend. The information was first release via JaVale’s twitter @JaValeMcGee34, and was also confirmed by the Guinness Awards Committee

On JaVale’s certificate from Guinness, it reads as below:

“The most basketballs dunked in a single jump was three by JaVale McGee (USA) during the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest at the 2011 NBA All-Star Game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, USA, on 19 February 2011. McGee jumped with two basketballs in his possession before dunking each and receiving a third basketball to dunk via alley-oop from teammate John Wall (USA).”

Congratulations again to JaVale on his in creditable creativity and stunning performance!

Kyle Lowry Named West Conference Player of the Week

• Lowry (6-0, 205, Villanova)

• Became the fourth Rockets player since 2002-03 to record a triple-double, and the first since Trevor Ariza vs. New Orleans (4/14/10).

• Lowry extended his career high of double-figure scoring games to 12 in a row (2/26/11-3/20/11).

• Lowry averaged 19.3 points (26-57 FG, 9-20 3FG, 16-17 FT), 7.5 assists, 7.3 rebounds and 1.25 steals in guiding the Rockets to a 4-0 week.

• Lowry helped the Rockets defeat two teams they are battling with for the eighth playoff seed, as well as knocking off the Eastern Conference’s top-

seeded Boston Celtics.

• Lowry recorded 18 points (7-18 FG), six rebounds and five assists in a 95-93 victory vs. Phoenix (3/14/11).

• He then pulled down nine rebounds vs. Charlotte (3/16/11), which set his season high until grabbing a career-best 11 boards against the Jazz

(prev. high: 10 on 11/1/06 vs. New York).

• Lowry totaled 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-7 3FG) and nine assists in the triumph vs. Boston (3/18/11).

• He wrapped up his week by posting the first triple-double of his career with 28 points (9-14 FG, 3-4 3FG, 7-8 FT), a career-high 11 rebounds, 10

assists and three steals in a 110-108 win vs. Utah (3/20/11).

All-Star Weekend with Sneaker Statement

This year’s All-Star weekend, PEAK’s first moment featured Dorell Wright of the Golden State Warriors in the Three-Point Shootout Contest. Followed by JaVale McGee of the Washington Wizards in the Slam Dunk Contest, arguably the biggest highlight of the All-Star weekend. Last but not least, celebrity player Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves also delivered great performances in the finale, the All-Star Game, on behalf of the West Conference. PEAK became the first Chinese sports brand in history to be featured in NBA’s All-Star weekend.

During the Slam Dunk Contest, Wizards center JaVale McGee’s stellar performance, featuring his flawless execution of a double dunk and a triple dunk, stunned fans and judges with his awe-inspiring creativity. As he switched shoes before each dunk, McGee caught the attention of celebrity commentator Charles Barkley and stroke some intriguing conversations about his USA x China shoes, aka UNIFY. In the event, JaVale McGee certainly made a bold statement on behalf of the PEAK spirit and those who believe they can play.
